ENTRANCE HYMN
Send Forth Your Spirit, O Lord
* Send forth your Spirit, O Lord,
That the face of the earth be renewed.
1. O my soul, arise and bless the Lord God, O
Lord,
In majesty, enrobed with power and eternal might. *
2. You are clothed with splendour and with
beauty, O God
And heavenly light is like a cloud that conceals your face. *
3. You have built your palace on the waters;
On wings of winds and fire You reign in heaven, rule supreme on earth. *
4. For the earth you fixed on its foundations;
Indeed, it shall stand firm, And not be moved for unending years. *
Sign of the cross
Priest ✠ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.

P✠: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Penitential Act
P✠: Brethren (brothers and sisters), let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
All: I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and
sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I
have done and in what I have failed to do, (striking their breast) through my
fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask
blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all
the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the
Lord our God.
P✠: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
All: Amen.

1st Reading – Acts 2:1-11
When the time for
Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly
there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the
entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of
fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all
filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the
Spirit enabled them to proclaim.
Now there were devout Jews
from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound, they
gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them
speaking in his own language. They were astounded, and in amazement they asked,
"Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans? Then how does each
of us hear them in his native language? We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites,
inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and
Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers
from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear
them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God." —The Word of the Lord.
All: Thanks be to God.
Responsorial PSALM – Psalm 104:1, 24, 29-30,
31, 34
R. Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
the earth.
Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD, my God,
you are great indeed! How manifold are your works, O LORD! the earth is full of
your creatures.
R.
Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew
the face of the earth.
If you take away their breath, they perish
and return to their dust. When you send forth your spirit, they are created,
and you renew the face of the earth.
R.
Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew
the face of the earth.
May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may
the LORD be glad in his works! Pleasing to him be my theme; I will be glad in
the LORD.
R.
Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew
the face of the earth.
2nd Reading – 1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13
Brothers and sisters: No
one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
There are different kinds
of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service
but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces
all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is
given for some benefit.
As a body is one though it
has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so
also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews
or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one
Spirit. —The Word of the Lord.
All: Thanks be to God.
Sequence
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
And from your celestial home Shed a ray of light divine!
Come, Father of the poor! Come, source of all
our store! Come, within our bosoms shine.
You, of comforters the best; You, the soul’s
most welcome guest; Sweet refreshment here below;
In our labor, rest most sweet; Grateful
coolness in the heat; Solace in the midst of woe.
O most blessed Light divine, Shine within
these hearts of yours, And our inmost being fill!
Where you are not, we have naught, Nothing
good in deed or thought, Nothing free from taint of ill.
Heal our wounds, our strength renew; On our
dryness pour your dew; Wash the stains of guilt away:
Bend the stubborn heart and will; Melt the
frozen, warm the chill; Guide the steps that go astray.
On the faithful, who adore And confess you,
evermore In your sevenfold gift descend;
Give them virtue’s sure reward; Give them
your salvation, Lord; Give them joys that never end.
Amen. Alleluia.
Gospel Acclamation –
Matthew 28:19a, 20b
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
and kindle in them the
fire of your love.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel – John 20:19-23
On the evening of that
first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were,
for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them,
"Peace be with you." When he had said this, he showed them his hands
and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them
again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive
the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you
retain are retained." – The Gospel of the Lord.
Gospel of the Lord.
All:
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ
Nicene Creed
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus
Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he
suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Prayer of
the Faithful
P✠: Let us pray to the Lord.
All: O Lord hear our prayer, O Lord hear our prayer,
when I call answer me.
O Lord hear our prayer, O Lord hear our prayer, come and listen to me.

if ye have love one for another.
Preparation of the Altar and the Gifts
P✠: Pray, brethren

All: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the
praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy
Church.
P✠: The Lord be
with you.
All: And with your spirit.
P✠: Lift up your hearts.

P✠: You are indeed
Holy, O Lord, the….
At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his
Passion, he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his
disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,
FOR THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.
P✠: In a similar
way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice and, once more giving thanks,
he gave it to his disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT,
FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
P✠: The mystery of
faith.
All: Save us, Save us, Savior of the world, for by your
Cross and Resurrection you have set us free.
P✠: Therefore, as
we celebrate the memorial of his Death and Resurrection,.....
P✠: Through him,
and with him, and in him,
O God, almighty Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

Lord’s Prayer
P✠: At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
P✠: Deliver us,
Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by
the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all
distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus
Christ.
All: For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
now and for ever.
P✠: Lord Jesus
Christ, who said to your Apostles: Peace I leave you, my peace I give you, look
not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her
peace and unity in accordance with your will. Who live and reign for ever and
ever.
All: Amen.
P✠: The peace of the Lord be with you always.
All: And with your spirit.
P✠: Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
Agnus Dei
All: Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have
mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
P✠: Lord Jesus
Christ,....
P✠: Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes
away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
All: Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Prayer for the 80th
Anniversary of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong
Messengers of Hope
O
Lord, You are the source of all blessings and you guide the course of human
history by your Providence.
With
gratitude we thank you for the establishment of our Diocese eighty years ago.
In
the footsteps of our predecessors, we have steadfastly kept the heritage of our
Faith over the years and so have been able
to
experience your unfailing help in the face of challenges;
to
regain strength in our weakness;
to
restore hope in our discouragement;
to
look for your direction when we have lost our way.
As
your children, may we always entrust ourselves to you in humility. May we
always respond to your calling for us to carry on our mission to spread the
Gospel and bear witness to our faith in Hong Kong, sowing the seeds of love and
hope while living in joy and peace.
We
ask this in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
That the face of the earth be renewed.
In majesty, enrobed with power and eternal might. *
And heavenly light is like a cloud that conceals your face. *
